Why Your Legacy Depends on What You Don’t Ignore…
![]() Marcella Mollon-Williams, Behavioral Financial Advisor™ | There is a dangerous myth circulating among high-achieving adults - that financial success alone guarantees legacy. But those of us who understand the layers of true wealth know better. We know that it’s not just about what you build, but what you protect. And in a world where financial deception is more sophisticated than ever, vigilance isn’t optional - it’s essential. Let’s get one thing straight: if you’re not a vigilant investor, your wealth is vulnerable. Period. |

Why I Founded Heart, Body & Soul
![]() Christopher C. Williams Founder & CEO Heart, Body & Soul ![]() | It’s one thing to survive a storm; it’s another to find direction in the aftermath. In the span of a few years I suffered multiple heart attacks, battled stage III cancer of the appendix, and learned firsthand how the healthcare system too often fails our communities, particularly Black men. Metropolitan New York Chamber of Commerce
The Metropolitan New York Chamber of Commerce (MNYCC) is more than a chamber — we are a movement. We empower Black, Minority, and Immigrant-owned businesses across Metro New York by meeting them where they are and walking alongside them at every stage of growth.
Rooted in advocacy, community, and innovation, we’re building a more equitable business landscape by dismantling systemic barriers and creating direct access to the people, platforms, and power that drive economic success. We believe in strength in numbers and power through collaboration, because when our communities thrive, New York thrives.
OUR MISSION
The mission of this Chamber of Commerce is to empower, support, and advocate for Black, immigrant and marginalized small businesses in the New York area. By fostering economic growth, building collaborative networks, and addressing systemic barriers, the Chamber aims to:
1. Advocate for Equity: We promote policies and initiatives that advance racial and economic equity, ensuring Black, immigrant and marginalized entrepreneurs have equitable access to capital, contracts, and opportunities.
2. Support Business Growth: We provide members with resources, training, and tools to scale their businesses, improve operational efficiency, and increase profitability.
3. Foster Networking and Collaboration: We plan and create opportunities for Black, immigrant and marginalized business owners to connect with peers, mentors, and allies to share knowledge, build partnerships, and collaborate on feasible ventures.
4. Amplify Visibility: We highlight the achievements and contributions of Black, immigrant and marginalized businesses to the local economy, advocating for increased patronage and partnership from consumers and larger organizations.
5. Drive Community Development: We support and contribute to the economic vitality of underrepresented communities by empowering businesses that create jobs, build wealth, and inspire future generations of entrepreneurs.
By uniting and elevating Black, immigrant and marginalized small businesses, the Metropolitan New York Chamber of Commerce strives to be a catalyst for inclusive economic empowerment and community transformation in New York and beyond.
